Leadership grounded
in real operations.

I lead technology and security teams in organisations where people depend on the service working.

My career spans founding a software business, leading an international technology function and coordinating decisions during public-sector emergencies. I stay close to the people doing the work.

Queensland Police Service

Chief of Staff · State Disaster | Officer in Charge · State Intelligence Group

Operational intelligence leadership and executive coordination during major events and Queensland’s COVID-19 response.

During an incident, people need clear ownership, a shared view of what is known and a decision they can act on. I bring technical teams and executives into that conversation, then make sure the lessons change how the service runs.

Between incidents, the work is just as important: coaching people, setting useful service measures, working with suppliers and giving engineers the context and support to do their best work.

My Comtrac discussion on IRAP and assurance ↗

My first job was in a music store. I went on to teach guitar and piano and work in live sound. I still make music and maintain a studio where emerging bands can record demos.

That interest continues through OnLive, my music technology project. Technology matters to me because of what it lets people create, share and experience together.
